Conch pearls are sourced from the Caribbean Sea and are formed entirely by nature—they cannot be cultured artificially. With an annual yield of fewer than 600 pearls, they are exceedingly rare and precious, often commanding astronomical prices. Conch pearls are currently protected under the Washington Convention (CITES), and in Japan, their export is strictly prohibited—a testament to their exceptional rarity. Conch pearls are completely natural in origin and are found only in specific regions of the Caribbean. To this day, no cultured conch pearls have ever entered the market, making natural ones exceptionally expensive. They may lack the iridescent luster and perfectly pleasing roundness of traditional pearls, but these natural, organic gems possess a unique, untouched quality that nature bestows upon them.

Out of approximately 50,000 queen conchs, only one usable pearl is found after the meat is removed. As a result, only 2,000 to 3,000 conch pearls are discovered each year at most, and of these, merely 20% to 30% are suitable for jewelry processing. In other words, only about 600 conch pearls worldwide are crafted into dazzling jewelry each year. Coupled with the recent ban on queen conch fishing in the Caribbean, this natural pearl has become even rarer on a global scale.
